About this position

The Business Development Manager – Retail Media Monetization is responsible for driving the retail media strategy and execution, managing campaigns, cultivating vendor relationships, analyzing data, collaborating with internal teams, and managing budgets to maximize revenue generation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive retail media monetization strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between retail media efforts and marketing, sales, and product strategies.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and changes in consumer behavior to identify new opportunities for retail media monetization.
• Drive sales of current retail media inventory (in store media, social media, CRM, onsite, event space, and off-site)
• Oversee the execution of retail media campaigns, optimizing for maximum revenue generation.
• Analyze performance metrics and provide insights to enhance campaign effectiveness.
• Work closely with internal and external partners to develop innovative and impactful retail media campaigns.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with retail media partners and vendors.
• Negotiate and optimize contracts with vendors to ensure favorable terms for the organization.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging opportunities in the retail media landscape.
• Utilize data analytics tools to analyze and interpret performance data, identifying areas for improvement and revenue optimization.
• Use data to prepare to pitch and share post results campaign to advertisers.
• Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on the effectiveness of retail media initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to align retail media strategies with broader business goals.
• Work closely with clients and partners to understand their objectives and tailor retail media solutions to meet their needs.
• Develop and manage budgets for retail media initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
• Ensure revenue target are achieved under budgeted expenses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• Proven experience in retail media, digital advertising, or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful retail media strategies.
• Familiarity with advertising technology and retail media platforms.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
