Optical Functional Test Engineer
About this position
The Engineer, Test Manufacturing accepts, transfers, installs, improves and maintains automatic test equipment and test programs that are used for product testing and design verification. They also may support the test development of the test equipment and processes to ensure robust and high quality test solutions and final products are realized.
Responsibilities
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
• Perform detailed investigations to identify the root cause of yield issues and provide effective solutions.
• Develop test station procedures, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides to support production.
• Debug of tester issues using DOE, tools, and failure analysis methodologies.
• Debug of Product issues by using product block diagram, product circuit.
• Study process improvement opportunities utilizing wide variety of analytical techniques (such as SPC, DOE, Gauge R&R), lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts.
• WI, Control plan, PFMEA and FA documents support.
• Overseas travel is required, ~30% work load.
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Refer to technical skills below Typical Experience
• +3year Work experiences in Optical testing (optical Transceiver is an advantage).
• New graduated is also welcome.
• Understanding the MSA mechanical, electrical, thermal specifications and signaling.
• Knowledge of Optical test methodologies (BER, Sensitivity, Wavelength, PAM4, ER), Optical test equipment and test plan.
• Knowledge of electronic circuit, Optical fibers and connectors, Passive optical components (WDM, splitters, etc.), Photonic Integrated Circuits (e.g., SiP, InP, etc.).
• Experience in Test programing (Labview and Python code is added advantage).
• Exceptional analytical skills.
Typical Education Bachelor or Master degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecomunication Engineering or related fields.
