About this position

The Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) serves as a liaison between internal teams and customers, ensuring that quality requirements are met and addressing any product or process complaints.

Responsibilities

• Be a channel between the internal team and the customers to review, negotiate and implement the requirement.
• To interface with the Customers/Design/Supplier on their Quality, Product and process requirement and complaints.
• To oversee engineering changes & deviation authorizations and submit First Article Inspection Report (If any).
• To ensure customer’s product certification requirements are met in the factory.
• To monitor product/process yields and scrap rate or other quality indicators. And, work with cross-functional team to conduct RCA and CAPA when discrepancy was observed in production line.
• To provide all the data information and work with the team for improvement/action plan and follow-up result in NPI -Flawless launch and Phase Gate program.
• To initiate and update quality instructions, and relevant documents, including customer's quality reporting requirements.
• Involve failure analysis of customer returns and/or complaints. Also, provide the customer with effective corrective & preventive actions on quality issues.
• To organize material purge notice and ensure non-conforming material will not be used.
• To conduct or collaborate baseline audit, ESD audit, product safety audit and other audits regarding company or department or customer’s requirements.
• To host or participant the regular and off working time meeting (25%)
• Prepare the NPI Quality information in PG/FL package to review and approve.

Requirements

• Understand workmanship standard IPC-A-610 and customer requirements
• In-depth knowledge of ISO standards, GR&R, manufacturing processes, and quality tools such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, 8D methodology, Statistical Knowledge etc.
• Knowledge of software in generating reports, capturing data, data analysis and presenting data in an understandable format
• Knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery and the profitability of the unit
• Knowledge and understanding of SMT/Assembly/Metal/Painting/Packaging or related the field will be advantage.
• Knowledge of English - intermediate level
• Be able to work under high pressure and deadline commitment.
• independent work and multi tasking with time management.
• Good Decision making with risk assessment aspect.
