Procurement Quality Engineer
About this position
This is an individual contributor role, responsible for monitoring process controls and implementing continuous quality improvement projects. This incumbent is directly reporting into Thai Procurement manager and communicates with the global team on a regular basis to solve quality issues.
Responsibilities
• Provides conclusions and recommendations for quality issues and/or continuous quality improvement projects.
• Participates in supplier quality improvement initiatives; works with suppliers to develop and improve quality levels.
• Ensures the reliability and quality of suppliers, implementing process controls, certification programs, evaluations, inspections, corrective actions, audits and records.
• Identified quality problem(s) and determines a short-term action plan with the facility management and the supplier.
Requirements
• Quality Management (Level Working Knowledge): Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
• Effective Communications (Level Working Knowledge): Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Managing Multiple Priorities (Level Extensive Experience): Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
• Problem Solving (Level Working Knowledge): Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Procurement Function (Level Working Knowledge): Knowledge of responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of procurement function; ability to perform tasks and activities of the procurement functions or department.
