About this position

The Application Engineer position at Carl Zeiss Co., Ltd. is a 1-year contract role focused on providing technical support, revenue generation, training, and engineering solutions within the Industrial Quality Solution Business.

Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities:
• Application support during Information Gathering (IG) process, collaborating with Sales team in customizing solutions.
• Application support during the Information Sharing (IS) process, collaborating with Sales team in providing Demos, Presentations, and meetings.
• Develop skills & knowledge via ZEISS learning paths and skills matrix with assigned products and services.
• Execute solutions e.g. measuring services, accessory solutions, programming services & consulting services to generate revenue and ensure Quality Excellence Center (QEC) is fully utilized.
• After sales product push for Software Maintenance Agreements (SMA), additional software options, software upgrades, and promoting the use of the ZEISS Portal e.g. online training.
• Provide training based on sales contracts and billable training to end customers on our devices, software, solutions, and fundamental preparatory courses e.g., AUKOM.
• Know and understand all aspects of compliance, standard operating procedure (SOP), certifications accreditations as a Trainer.
• Manage different mode of training e.g.: Remote virtual setup, classroom setup, factory setup and webinar setup.
• Provide solutions on fixturing design, special tools, stylus, and project solutions. e.g., design a fixture for programming services.
• Adheres to process requirements, operation procedures, legal compliances, Brand compliance.
• Complete reports on time e.g., CRM Mobile X entries and sign off from customer on the last day of job.
• Punctual for meetings.
• Presentable attire.

Requirements

Job Qualification:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or relevant engineering fields.
• Open Fresh Graduated with internship experience in precision machinery business or any related with ZEISS business.
• 1 - 5 year experience within the precision engineering - prefer.
• Proficiency spoken and written in English.
• Have Own car and driving license. Able to work at field.
• Able to interact in a professional manner with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Working with CAD based software.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• After complete contract, company may consider for extend or convert to “Permanent” staff.
