About this position

Responsible for performing basic trade operations customs activities utilizing a basic level of knowledge, including data management, reporting & analysis, trade operations and shipment execution. This role requires collaboration with multiple business units, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as customs, brokers, ports, and plants.
• Execute goals related to value preservation and risk mitigation.
• Apply basic technical knowledge of global trade compliance operations.
• Validate and coordinate import/export transactional requirements, ensuring compliance with pre-transaction regulatory needs.
• Manage transportation and logistics for cross-border transactions.
• Monitor cargo in transit for timely shipping and border compliance.
• Execute customs clearance and file import/export declarations.
• Resolve issues, notifications, and compliance alerts related to import/export processes.
• Manage customs-bonded shipments.

2. Data Management / Analysis & Reporting
• Facilitate data entry to support cross-border operations.
• Report and analyze metrics related to business functions.
• Ensure records retention and data accuracy for reporting.
• Verify the payment of taxes and duties.

3. Client Interaction & Business Partnership
• Support trade operations in alignment with business plans.
• Collaborate internally and externally to implement trade operations solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• Experience from freight forwarding is highly preferred
