About this position

The Technical and Compliance Manager at BSI is responsible for deploying and maintaining global policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements, and managing internal audits and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain global policy, procedure, guidance to be effectively implemented in BSI Thailand.
• Plan and implement T&C activities through Annual Programme to be reviewed monthly.
• Conduct awareness program to all employees.
• Manage internal communication for any updates on global policy, procedure, and guidance.
• Initiate and organize internal audits.
• Monitor follow-up of internal audit results through entropy.
• Maintain, update, and report risk registration – completed with risk mitigation.
• Liaise with local country in support of risk and compliance.
• Act as Internal Coordinator for audits by Group/Global Risk and Compliance.
• Monitor follow-up of audit results by Group/Global Risk and Compliance.
• Escalate issues that may impact business, reputation, accreditation within 24 hours to Head of T&C, Regional/Global T&C Director.
• Support the T&C ASEAN Head for Thailand Compliance activities.
• Be a contact person for global accreditation (e.g. ANAB, UKAS, etc.) and local accreditation.
• Liaise/communicate with accreditation bodies, where necessary.
• Provide awareness program on accreditation requirements to all employees.
• Support in the maintenance of local/global accreditation and ensure Sales, Operations, and relevant processes implement processes in accordance with BSI policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in science or engineering from a reputable University.
• Minimum 4 years as technical and compliance for management system certification body and experience in managing accreditations.
• Minimum 4 years as management system auditor of at least one (1) standard.
• Minimum 4 years qualified as IRCA Lead Auditor for management systems.
• Attended course and has comprehensive knowledge and understanding for accreditation requirements for certification body such as ISO 17021, ISO 17065 and knowledge on ISO 17029 is added advantage.
• Language: English, verbal and written.
• Excellent verbal communication as well as written communication skill.
• Able to demonstrate good audit reporting, presentation, and tutorial skill.
• Having systematic, risk-based analysis thinking.
• Able to demonstrate coaching and supervisory skill.
• Proven leadership skills with ability to engage, collaborate and influence at operational level.
• Strong technical background, with knowledge of business processes.
• Proven experience in a commercial/international environment.
• Knowledge and experience of managing/leading business processes and accreditation matters.
• Willing to travel on business if needed.
• Good influencing and leadership qualities – must have the ability to lead team and influence other stakeholders across all within the organization in the assigned cluster/country and the wider business.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across a matrix organization utilizing all means of communication and engagement.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
• Be self-motivated, flexible, with excellent time management/planning, and problem-solving skills.
