Safety Officer (SHE)
About this position
The Safety Officer (SHE) is responsible for controlling and improving Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental issues in manufacturing, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and promoting a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
• Control and provide suggestions for kick off, set-up, implement and improvement of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental issues in manufacturing and included new project assigned
• Follow up on the implementation of laws/regulations
• Prepare and submit the documentation of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment to related government sectors
• Prepare plan for Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental activities
• Conduct safety audits to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices, or working conditions
• Investigate on accidents, identify the causes, and provide preventive and corrective actions
• Maintain and analyze records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern
• Educate and train employees on occupational health, Safety and Environment
• Conduct orientation regarding to safety
• Ensure that first aid supplies and resources are available in accordance with regulations and company’s health and safety policies
• Prepare and submit training documents to the Department of Skills Development (if any)
• Coordinate with all departments about Occupational Health, Safety and Environment
• Inform and Coordinate with government sectors regarding to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment
• Achieve own department’s deployed quality objectives and targets
• Ensure all production and business operation are comply by the Law
• Update safety law and other related law to Management level
• Other task as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety/Environment
• Having professional safety certificate
• Strong risk assessment, analytical and communication skill
• Having Knowledge in ISO 9001:2015
• Have experience as an “internal trainer” to employees in Safety subject
• Be skillful in operating MS Office
• Good command of English communication
• Able to commute to work at WHA ESIE 1 industrial estate at Pluakdaeng, Rayong (no minibus support)
• 3-5 Years experience work as safety officer in manufacturing is a must
