About this position
The Purchasing Staff in Indirect Procurement is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring effective category management to optimize procurement processes.
Responsibilities
• Develop sourcing strategies and manage all aspects of the strategic sourcing process.
• Develop effective working relationships with keys business stakeholders and exhibit cross-functional influence skills.
• Understand key cost drivers of assigned categories using value drivers to develop negotiation and cost management strategy.
• Communicate regularly the market updates, performance, objectives, and service risk/disruption to the business.
• Develop and implement efficient category management strategies for the assigned category as necessary.
• Analyze market alternatives and manage bids, price and contract negotiation.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
• Increase competitive advantage through partnership agreements, competitive rates, make vs buy analysis and proactive partner management.
• Implement structured sourcing process (category strategy, planning, RFX, negotiations, supplier selection).
• Perform financial analysis of contract proposals.
• Conduct broad industry research to identify creative ideas and solutions.
• Assess vendor/contract issues and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders to facilitate clear understanding and decision-making.
• Comply with applicable policies and procedures and ensure Code of Conduct.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business/Economics or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Indirect Procurement and data analytics.
• Proficient in working effectively under pressure, planning, and prioritizing tasks.
• Digital skills (Microsoft 365).
• Expert in Excel and Power Platform (PBI, App and Automate).
• A TOEIC score of at least 450 is required.
