Application Technologist- Meat & Savory Application (One Year Contract)
About this position
The purpose of the role is to support the food & nutrition business unit by carrying out various applications, existing and new product development in the lab, for Brenntag Thailand. This would be a support service & an individual contributor role.
Responsibilities
• Conduct trials and be responsible for the new and existing product development in the lab.
• To provide technical solutions and support to commercial team and customers in Meat, Savory, Bakery and Food solution.
• To be proactive in developing marketing tools and demo prototype for commercial team, suppliers, and customers.
• To cooperate with commercial team and suppliers for product technology and their knowledge transfer to increase success rate of project commercialization.
• Joint visit with commercial team when necessary for prototype presentation to customers.
• To improve competency of the Nutrition application laboratory with increased capability along with Regional Safety practice.
• To support technical solution as well as technical reports to regional technical leader.
• Maintain data in Brenntag system with respect to requests from the sales team, raw materials’ quantity, customer details, dispatch details etc.
• Manage customers’/suppliers’ visit in the lab.
• To provide application training to commercial team and customers.
• Good housekeeping & adhering to Safety First norms in the application lab.
• Other tasks as assigned by Manager.
Requirements
• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Food Science/Food Technology/Food Chemistry/Food Engineer or with relevant technical experience.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the R&D function/ application development lab of a reputed food ingredient organization.
