Space Planning & Visual Merchandising Manager
About this position
The Space Planning & Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for leading and developing space planning, retail merchandising, product display, store layout, and shelf allocation to enhance business performance and customer experience.
Responsibilities
• Lead & develop space planning, retail merchandising, product display, store layout & shelf allocation to drive business performance (sales/profit/supplier’s income), return on space and store profitability to deliver in store customer experience as business direction
• Set up and refresh trade term proposal: In store space index and in store media for supplier funding to achieve company target.
• Planning & managing on Product & Category display and store layout
• Develop Merchandising Strategies and Principles for Healthcare, Skincare and Personal Care categories.
• Analyse and get insight from internal sales data and market data to review and improve overall space planning & merchandising.
• Monitor overall shelf organizing, presenting, and visual merchandising aligning with store image to create alignment in presenting products and attract target group.
• Lead team to implement Merchandising strategies, category management and customer strategies based on consumer behavior, buying pattern and business priorities.
• Assessing the effectiveness of different product displays and store layouts on sales performance to ensure that every space is optimized.
• Review post evaluation of new merchandising concept or store and identify opportunity and area of improvement.
• Liaise with Category team to build and maintain relationship with suppliers to develop and maintain business benefit and create alignment in merchandising effectively including space/display allocation for supplier funding.
• Coordinate with related functions to ensure effective operations.
• Align plan with Category, Own Brand, Trade Activation and Retail Operations.
• Supervise and advise subordinates on merchandiser skills.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business and Administration, Economics, Statistics or related field.
• More than 5 years’ work experience in merchandising of retail business
• Good command of English communication in both written and spoken
• Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrate experience in Retail Business
• Strong negotiation skill and analytical skills
• Logical thinking good sense of Merchandising and commercial acumen
• Quick response and able to work under pressure

• Strong numerical and analytical skills in using data and/or market information to derive strategies, action plans and decision making
