About this position

The Project Accountant will assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, monitor budget variances, and support strategic decision-making through financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in order to prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for appointed clauses.
• Monitor budget variances and provide insights to management on financial performance.
• Prepare and analyze costs and expenses to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Assist in preparing data for financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, such as pricing strategies, investment opportunities, and business expansion plans.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial transactions.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements. Address any audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed to the Head of Finance & Accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the hospitality industry or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Accurate, QuickBooks, MYOB, SAP, or Oracle, as well as Microsoft Excel, is essential.
• Strong analytical skills are crucial for analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and making strategic recommendations to improve financial reporting flow.
• Attention to details and being able to deliver clear information and have an effective communication skill are essential.
