CNC Engineer
About this position
The CNC Engineer is responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs, designing custom tooling, and ensuring efficient machining operations.
Responsibilities
• Reviews 3D designs, engineering drawings, models, and/or samples for CNC machining operation.
• Creates CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, Mastercam) to support Multi-Axial lathes and 5-Axis milling machines.
• Design and create custom tooling and fixtures for machining and assembly.
• Generate programs, tooling lists, cutting parameters, jigs & fixtures, run simulations and tests.
• Creates work instructions, setup-sheets, geometric data for machinists to follow.
• Communicates with Leaders and machinist who will use the programs.
• Contribute in training & development for CNC department personnel.
• Makes improvements to set up process, improve efficiency and output - reduce setup time, reduce setup scrap.
• Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task.
• Follow up corrective actions on Quality Issues, Process & Design functions.
• Review & design machining process to ensure optimal cycle time and eliminate waste.
• Work with the production team and quality team to ensure all customer on time delivery.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent career development experience in related fields.
• English Proficiency: able to communicate using the English language at a technical level.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software, preferably Mastercam and SolidWorks.
