CNC Engineer Programmer (CAD/CAM)
About this position
The CNC Engineer Programmer (CAD/CAM) is responsible for reviewing 3D designs and engineering drawings for CNC machining operations, ensuring compliance with safety rules, and improving setup processes for efficiency.
Responsibilities
âĒComplying with the company safety rules and policies.
âĒReviewing 3D designs, engineering drawings, models, and/or samples for CNC machining operation.
âĒSetup tooling/machine for test cut during the trial process until achieving the first-article parts.
âĒMaking improvements to the setup process, improving efficiency and output - reducing setup time, and reducing setup scrap.
âĒMonitoring all programs to ensure they follow blueprint instructions and safely complete the task.
âĒFollowing up on corrective actions on Quality Issues, Processes & Design functions.
âĒWorking with the production team and quality team to ensure all customers' on-time delivery.
âĒOther duties as assigned.
Requirements
âĒBachelorâs degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
âĒ5 years of experience in the Automotive/Aerospace industry related to CNC Plate Plasma cutting or Robot coping.
âĒAble to interpret engineering drawings with a full understanding of GD&T symbols.
âĒProficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Suite (MS Word, Office, Excel, and PowerPoint).
âĒSolid foundational understanding of the machining process, including CNC turning, milling, EDM, honing, and drilling.
âĒGood command of spoken and written English.
