IE Engineer
About this position
The IE Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes through data analysis, collaboration, and implementation of lean practices.
Responsibilities
• Conduct time and motion studies, process flow analysis, and work measurement to identify areas for process optimization and efficiency improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement lean manufacturing practices, standard work procedures, and ergonomic solutions.
• Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to analyze production data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights for process improvement.
• Design and implement manufacturing layouts, workflow processes, and production schedules to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
• Lead continuous improvement projects, utilizing Six Sigma and other quality improvement methodologies to drive measurable results.
• Provide technical expertise and support to production teams, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in industrial engineering and manufacturing technology, incorporating new methodologies and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering roles, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, methodologies, and tools, including time and motion study, work measurement, and process optimization.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, Minitab.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
