About this position

The Head of Tenant Leasing is responsible for driving the leasing strategy of the shopping mall, focusing on attracting and retaining a diverse mix of tenants to enhance the mall's retail offerings.

Responsibilities

• Actively search for and reach out to potential tenants, such as retail stores, franchise businesses, and food & beverage operators, to lease available spaces in the shopping mall.
• Analyze current market trends and competitor malls to identify key retail tenants and concepts that will enhance the mall’s retail mix.
• Create tailored leasing strategies to attract a mix of tenants that align with the mall’s vision and customer profile, ensuring a balanced portfolio of retail, dining, and entertainment options.
• Work closely with potential tenants to negotiate leasing terms and conditions, ensuring a mutually beneficial outcome that aligns with company policies and objectives.
• Establish strong relationships with tenants to foster long-term partnerships, ensuring tenant satisfaction and retention.
• Coordinate with tenants and contractors to ensure smooth fit-outs, adhering to mall design guidelines and opening schedules.
• Ensure all lease agreements and legal documentation are in full compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tenant inquiries, resolving complaints, and handling disputes in a timely and professional manner.
• Regularly update senior management on leasing progress, market insights, and potential opportunities for further development or repositioning of mall spaces.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in property leasing or a similar role, preferably within the shopping mall or commercial real estate sector.
• Proficient knowledge of real estate industry dynamics, leasing principles, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to foster tenant relationships and secure lease agreements.
• Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead a team and drive leasing strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Strong market analysis and understanding of retail trends to identify potential tenants that align with the mall’s positioning and customer demographics.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for pitching leasing opportunities to retail brands and franchisees.
