About this position

As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Your primary focus will be to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture and Design:
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS cloud solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure resources.

Cloud Migration:
• Plan and execute the migration of on-premises applications and workloads to the AWS cloud.
• Optimize existing cloud infrastructure for improved performance and cost efficiency.

Security and Compliance:
• Implement and enforce security best practices in the AWS environment.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of cloud-based systems.
• Optimize infrastructure for performance, cost, and resource utilization.

Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and security professionals.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other teams leveraging AWS services.

Automation:
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for cloud-based applications.

Troubleshooting and Incident Response:
• Identify and resolve issues in the cloud infrastructure promptly.
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
