Operations and Maintenance Engineer - Solar Business
About this position
The Operations and Maintenance Engineer - Solar Business is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of solar power plants, preparing necessary documentation, analyzing production data, and collaborating with various departments to enhance power production processes.
Responsibilities
• Prepare work instructions, log sheets, and preventive maintenance (PM) plans suitable for overseas solar power plants as assigned.
• Record, review, and analyze production data, as well as prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports.
• Monitor and manage electricity production to ensure continuous operations, oversee maintenance activities for the power generation system and equipment as per the plans, maintaining stability, maximizing efficiency, and adhering to standards.
• Oversee the maintenance of equipment within the power plant and surrounding project areas to ensure continuous and efficient power production.
• Resolve issues arising in work processes to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations and the successful completion of assigned plans.
• Prepare root cause analysis reports to identify problems impacting the power production of the plant.
• Analyze trends in abnormal production performance metrics to determine causes and propose appropriate corrective measures.
• Collaborate with relevant departments in studying solar power plant projects, follow up on pre-acceptance testing, and enhance the efficiency of power production processes to meet defined objectives.
• Research and stay updated on engineering knowledge and modern technologies to apply them in improving work processes for maximum efficiency.
• Ensure all operations comply with relevant legal regulations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors to achieve specified goals.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in the Solar energy business or thermal power plants.
• Holding an engineering license is an advantage.
• Knowledge of quality management, environmental, and safety systems.
• Familiarity with productivity improvement activities.
• Good English communication skills (TOEIC 500 or higher).
