Network & Security Specialist
About this position
We are looking for a skilled Network & Security Specialist to design, implement, and manage secure network solutions. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our systems, handle security incidents, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. You will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure our infrastructure remains protected and operates efficiently.
Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable network architectures to meet business requirements.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents, perform threat analysis, and respond to cybersecurity events.
• Investigate security breaches and take necessary actions to prevent future incidents.
• Identify vulnerabilities and propose solutions to mitigate security risks across networks and systems.
• Ensure network infrastructure complies with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, GDPR, etc.).
• Maintain and update network security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Work closely with system administrators, software engineers, and other teams to ensure overall network security.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in network management and cybersecurity roles.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, BGP, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN technologies, and other network security tools.
• Knowledge of operating systems security (Windows, Linux).
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
