About this position
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement course schedules, ensuring proper sequencing and availability of classes.
• Coordinate with language instructors to assign teaching assignments and manage course materials.
• Monitor class enrollments, handle registration processes, and maintain accurate records of student information.
• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to update and enhance course materials, aligning them with language proficiency standards.
• Ensure timely distribution of course materials to instructors and students.
• Regularly review and evaluate curriculum effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements.
• Administer placement tests to assess students' language proficiency levels and place them in appropriate classes.
• Coordinate the delivery of formative and summative assessments, ensuring compliance with assessment guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of student assessments and provide feedback to instructors and students.
• Provide guidance and support to language instructors, addressing their questions, concerns, and instructional needs.
• Organize professional development workshops and training sessions for instructors, fostering their growth and ensuring teaching quality.
• Conduct classroom observations to evaluate teaching performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Serve as a point of contact for student inquiries, providing information on courses, schedules, and registration processes.
• Address student concerns and issues, working closely with instructors and other staff members to provide appropriate solutions.
• Monitor student progress and maintain regular communication with students, offering guidance and support as needed.
• Manage administrative processes, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as admissions and student services, to ensure smooth integration of language center activities.
• Assist in budget management, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in English, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of English language teaching methodologies and proficiency standards.
• Previous experience in coordinating language programs or educational initiatives is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with instructors.
