Product Development Scientist
About this position
Responsibilities
• Be the center of food product development within the Betagro Group and is responsible for developing prototype products and products that need quality improvement.
• Give advice, evaluate, determine and consider the possibility of developing products to be consistent with or applicable to various factories in the Betagro group or select factories for contract production.
• Improve the production process and product development.
• Plan and control operations, provide advice and suggestions for new product development including considering costs according to the specified plan.
• Provide recommendations, evaluate, determine and consider the possibility of developing products to be consistent with or applicable to various factories in the Betagro group or select factories for contract production.
• Coordinate with various factories in the food business line to produce new products and follow up products when new products are produced or found a problem in the current product or when there are changes in the production line to maintain quality standards.
• Manage the development of Key Account Customers in channels such as Traditional Trade, Food Service, Modern Trade by making plans and setting goals together with the sales and marketing department.
• Promote, plan, study and research knowledge from within and outside the country to follow the trends in food production technology as a knowledge base for the team.
• Prepare a budget and supervise and allocate budget expenses for developing new products and improving products.
• Follow technology in the food industry in the areas of production, food chemicals, packaging to be useful in developing new products and improve existing products.
• Plan and organize knowledge sharing to provide knowledge and advice to the team and other related stakeholders.
• Plan to follow up on the market situation and competitors as well as consumer behavior trends to provide a guideline for the product development team to develop quality products and services superior to competitors.
• Promote, plan study and research with internal and external organizations to build on the organization’s existing technology and to find opportunities to innovate and develop new products.
Requirements
• Working experience related to this filed at least 10 years.
• At least bachelor degree of food science and food technology.
