New Business Development & Investment Specialist/Manager (Food-Retail Business)
About this position
The New Business Development & Investment Specialist/Manager is responsible for identifying new opportunities and managing business development projects for the Food or Pet Business Unit, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Responsibilities
• To identify new opportunities, business models, and investments for Food Business Unit or Pet Business Unit in line with strategic goals
• To manage all aspects of business development projects from start to end (concept development, business case and feasibility study, proposal for approval, investment execution)
• To co-ordinate with internal and external partners/stakeholders to push execution of project deliverables in line with strategic and business plans
• Conduct comprehensive study of new potential opportunities, business models, market and competitive landscapes
• Explore and identify partnership and investment leads through various sources (internal and external)
• Develop project concepts, business case, due diligence, and feasibility study, as well as prepare project/investment proposal for management
• Develop business plans for projects and engage with internal and external parties/partners/stakeholders to delegate project requirements
• Push for effective execution against committed timeline and ensure delivery of project milestones in-line with strategic and business plans
• Ensure effective post-investment integration with Betagro, including all necessary set-up of new roles/functions required for integration
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administrator, Economics, Finance or related fields
• At least 3-5 years in consulting, finance, corporate strategy, business planning, or business development function.
• Experiences in Retail, Wholesale, FMCG, or Food industry is preferred
• Strong analytical skills with ability to work 'hands on' in an independent manner
• High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• High level of project management skills, with ability to plan and coordinate cross-functionally
• Good knowledge of accounting concepts, financial analysis, and financial modeling
• Good communication skill in both Thai and English
