Demand & Supply Planning Section Manager
About this position
The Demand & Supply Planning Section Manager is responsible for overseeing the S&OP process, managing demand forecasting, and ensuring efficient inventory management while collaborating with various internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Set up S&OP process, lead monthly meeting from the consensus demand with internal key stakeholder.
• Consolidate forecast to team by reports and KPIs.
• Create and update accurate demand projections by reviewing historical sale data and trends to forecast future needs.
• Analyze available data from demand planning, inventory reports and other resources.
• Ensure the business has a steady flow of stock without overcapitalizing on materials.
• Manage the storage of inventory and materials.
• Monitor and maintain stock balance to ensure healthy inventory level.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders : commercial, operations, production, procurement, and other related teams members.
• Perform timely data consolidation, analysis weekly and monthly reporting.
• Plan both short and long-term to align demand and supply to support inventory needs.
• Set preferred stock levels and prevent excess inventory.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to supply chain activities.
• Identify risk and opportunities, drive action plan to close the gap.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, development, and collaboration within the team.
• Evaluate and recommend supply chain technologies and systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software, WMS (Warehouse Management System) etc. to streamline operations and improve visibility.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management with background in FMCG / Manufacturing industry (Minimum 2 years in managerial role).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
