About this position

The successful candidate will be a project leader of complex PPO projects, focusing on the continuous improvement of Bernina products and assembly processes within the sustaining engineering department. The job holder will report to the functional Section Head of Application & Testing & PPO and the Technical supervisor in Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Project leader for complex PPO projects and presentation
• Planning, organizing and execution of tests in the Initial sample process and the function sample investigation process
• Problem analysis for complex technical problems & solution finding and validation
• Design changes and new designs in CAD system (solid edge)
• Calculation of tolerance changes
• Execution and documentation of standard tests according the testing guideline

Requirements

• Min. Bachelor Degree of Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Automotive Engineering
• Min 5 years direct experiences to the role with Assembly manufacturing environment
• Knowledge about various production processes (machining, injection, sintering, casting, stamping…)
• Knowledge of DFM (design for manufacturing), DFA (design for assembly)
• CAD design experience
• Proficient on Mechanical Dimensioning, Geometry Tolerance on technical drawings
• Strong competency on Project management, Presentation skills and Result oriented (keep deadline)
• Ability to build collaborative and effective working relationships across organization
• Proactive and displays initiatives with Lean concept for optimum work process
• Good communication in written and verbal English and Thai
• Computer ability; Microsoft office, Engineering tool (Matlab, Minitab…)
