About this position

The SMT Production Assistant Manager or Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all SMT production activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all SMT production activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products while maximizing efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze production metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Lead and mentor the SMT production team, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and enhance product quality.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to SMT operations.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain for material availability to maintain uninterrupted production flow.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in SMT production management or a similar role in electronics manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment, and best practices.
• Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Familiarity with industry standards and quality certifications such as ISO, IPC, and Six Sigma.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to collaborate across various departments.
