Specialist-Import Material Planning
About this position
The Specialist-Import Material Planning is responsible for planning import and local materials according to production needs, organizing material counting, and coordinating activities related to direct materials. This role requires strong knowledge of material planning principles and compliance with various policies.
Responsibilities
• Planning Import and Local materials according to production plan.
• Organizing & Reporting periodical material counting.
• Coordinates and monitoring all activities about Import and Domestic direct material.
• Planning necessary investment for warehouse and distribution system.
• Entrance of supply needs from Logistic to SAP.
• Process improvement activities and giving support to the activity.
• Checking the custom stocks and plan to import them.
• Tracking trial produced materials.
• Starting procedure of first samples in case of supplier change.
• Updating the status of import, local and service materials.
• Solving backlog problems by transferring materials.
• Checking the consumption errors and prevent the system to repeat it up.
• Organizing to consumer non-moving materials.
• Tracking the materials which are used by conditional approval.
• Tracking imported materials which is loaded by Logistics form custom duty.
• Warming about materials which is not contracted by Purchasing Department.
• Control of stock amount for direct materials.
• Understanding and having strong knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility Policy.
• Understanding and encouraging, supporting the Occupational Health / Safety and Environment Policy.
• Understanding and complying with the International Organization for Standardization Policy (ISO 9001/ISO45001/ISO14001/BSCI/GCOC).
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Industrial Management / Logistics Management or relate field.
• At least 5 years of experience in order management, supply planning, Material planner.
• Proficiency in SAP module/Inventory software and MS office.
• Strong understanding of material planning principle both of import and local process, inventory management and production planning.
• Experience in role within a manufacturing environment and import process.
• Having good decision making abilities.
• Having competent planning and organizing skills.
• Having excellent analytical & strategic thinking skills.
• Must be able to work on multiple projects in parallel as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Good command in English communication.
