Senior Specialist Engineer-Production
About this position
The Senior Specialist Engineer-Production is responsible for leading and managing production processes, ensuring high-quality outputs, and optimizing workflows in the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the production processes for Door PU foaming, Extrusion, Thermoforming, and Door Mechanics to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Develop, implement, and optimize production workflows, ensuring alignment with production schedules and goals.
• Provide technical leadership and support for the PU foaming, extrusion, thermoforming, and door mechanic processes.
• Support serial production to achieve the quality and volume targets of production.
• Set productivity goals for each manufacturing team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to production machinery, materials, or processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address process deviations and product defects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and cost savings within the production lines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
• Ensure all production processes meet or exceed quality standards and customer requirements.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to monitor product quality and implement necessary process adjustments to maintain high standards.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all production processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate hazards associated with PU foaming, extrusion, and thermoforming processes.
• Train and mentor production staff on safety practices and process controls.
• Work with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance and address any equipment-related issues promptly.
• Provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior engineers, technicians, and production staff.
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, encouraging innovation and teamwork.
• Understand and maintain strong knowledge of the Corporate Social Responsibility Policy.
• Understand, encourage, and support the Occupational Health/Safety and Environment Policy.
• Understand and comply with International Organization for Standardization Policies (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 14064-1) and green chemistry management, as well as BSCI/GCOC requirements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on Extrusion, Thermoforming, or related processes.
• Proficiency in using process simulation and optimization tools.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills.
• Proven experience in leading.
