About this position

The Lead Industrial Engineer is responsible for overseeing the assembly operations, designing workstations, managing material flow, and improving efficiency within the factory. This role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Is responsible to define operation assembling plan for each SKU from Beko Thai (SKD, CKD or CBU).
• Is responsible to design each working station accordingly to the operation realized. Must use REBA method to decrease the fatigue of the operator during 10 working effective hours.
• Is responsible to design properly the direct material flow starting from packaging (inhouse or supplier) in standard pattern, transportation to factory, unloading and transfer to the working station.
• Is responsible do define the direct materials storage area in the warehouse and how the manipulation is done during the staking and line transfer.
• Is responsible to share with Factory team the cycle time report for each mixing type SKU and what ratios should be used for maximum efficiency.
• Is responsible to improve the automation level and decrease HC number by implementing new technologies according to the available budget.
• Is responsible to define the number of indirect operators according to the tasks required for each Factory department.
• Is responsible to define the factory layout, storage areas for materials and machine’s location. All temporary materials storage way must be designed properly according to line capacity and stock days target and purchased according to the available budget.
• Is responsible to assure that are available WI for each station from production area including what protection equipment should be wear.
• Is responsible to share with maintenance team the book of the machines that are in his process area with air and electricity necessary consumption, all electrical diagram and with backup of the PLC software.
• Is responsible with the scrap generated by production process and his target is to implement best methods including POKA YOKE/jigs tools for generating as small scrap ratio as possible.
• Is responsible with design packaging for each direct material used in factory.
• Is responsible to improve the processes so that the energy consumption meets factory’s KPIs.
• He should create very good climate to have optimal work condition and needs to help his subordinate growing.
• Realize monthly and weekly capacity calculations for determine best for each mixing SKUs with lowest HC and share with all Factory Team.
• Must update the factory layout whenever new machines, molds are coming to factory.
• Periodically inspect the infrastructure and prevent short- and long-term damages which can come from process parameters, operators or environment.
• Is responsible to facilities management work with HR and maintenance team to ensure the functionality, comfort, safety and efficiency of buildings and grounds, infrastructure and real estate.
• Work with HQ equivalent functions and purchasing to apply the other group factories improvements on assembly operations methods.
• Realize periodical audits to direct materials suppliers to check the cycle time.
• Support Purchasing to find better suppliers and develop new ones.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with REBA method and POKA YOKE tools.
• Knowledge of factory layout design and material flow optimization.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
