About this position

The IT Production Support position is responsible for maintaining and supporting IT systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment, ensuring smooth operations and effective collaboration with the IT team.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure IT shop floor equipment such as mini-PCs and bar-code equipment.
• Install and configure computers, operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems, shop floor systems, servers and networks on a daily basis.
• Provide day-to-day IT hardware support for production line equipment, including computers, bar-code readers, bar-code scanners, label printers and mobile devices.
• Manage and maintain the inventory of IT hardware and software.
• Oversee and maintain CCTV systems, access control systems and time attendance systems.
• Collaborate with the IT team at HQ to resolve IT issues and coordinate with suppliers to complete IT projects.
• Generate and deliver detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports on incident trends and service requests to identify recurring issues and improve IT processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Supervisor or IT Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher in an IT related field.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience with MES or IT shop floor support, including bar-code readers and bar-code printers.
• Proficient in installing and troubleshooting Windows 10 operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN networks, switches and CCTV systems.
• Experience using remote tools to support end users and systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Availability to work night shifts.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
