The Assistant Process / Project Engineering Manager will lead and manage specific projects within the ‘Process’ function, ensuring successful delivery in terms of quality, safety, cost, and time.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage specific projects within the ‘Process’ function, ensuring successful delivery in terms of quality, safety, cost, and time.
• Provide regular updates on project status and distribute meeting minutes to all relevant departments.
• Conduct project risk assessments and develop comprehensive mitigation plans.
• Manage the design review process in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the project conceptual and feasibility phases.
• Complete all necessary project documentation, ensuring knowledge transfer to production, maintenance, and relevant teams.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and environmental procedures to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
• Prepare tender documents (URS, RFP, RFQ) and contribute to proposal evaluations, focusing on technical accuracy.
• Oversee project execution by identifying and mitigating equipment and operational risks.
• Manage project change control processes, including documentation of risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs and lead the execution of FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, and validation runs.
• Foster effective coordination and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and prioritize key stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of project developments.
• Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with the project team and other departments.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Food Processing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or higher).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG experience is a plus).
• Strong skills in Project Management, Change Management, and Stakeholder Management.
• Good understanding of manufacturing requirements, including risk assessments, hygienic design, and process qualification/validation.
• Proficiency in English (communication and presentation skills).
• Familiarity with safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and HAZOP standards.
• Experience using MS Office, SAP, AutoCAD, and interpretation of P&IDs.
• Knowledge of process equipment (storage tanks, mixing systems, water generation systems, CIP systems) in industries such as cosmetics or pharmaceuticals.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Microsoft Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
