Market Insight Officer (1 year fixed term contract)

The Market Insights Officer is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data to provide actionable insights that will guide business decisions. This role supports the organization's efforts to stay competitive by understanding market trends, customer behavior, and competitor strategies. The insights gathered will be used to drive product development, marketing strategies, and overall business growth.
Responsibilities
• Conduct primary and secondary research to gather data on market trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities.
• Gather farmer insights, such as brand health checks, pre and post campaign evaluation, new launch, pricing studies, etc.
• Design and administer surveys, crafting effective questions, and ensuring the collection of accurate and relevant data to meet research objectives.
• Conduct focus groups, interviews and perform other research methodologies to collect relevant market information.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, trends, and insights from various resources.
• Utilize statistical tools and software to interpret data and create comprehensive reports.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders by creating data-driven insights, charts, and visualizations in a clear, concise, and visually engaging manner.
• Monitor competitor activities and strategies to identify potential threats and opportunities.
• Provide ongoing competitive analysis and benchmarking reports.
• Work closely with marketing, field solution, market development, sales, and other departments to ensure market insights are integrated into their decision-making processes.
• Work closely with external research agencies and vendors when necessary to ensure the accuracy and quality of research.
• Identify emerging trends and potential market shifts to proactively inform business strategies.
• Provide forward-looking insights to help the company adapt to market changes.
• Prepare internal market data and report such as Optimus/Agrowin, Aghorizon, ACe, Croplife report, etc.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports and analyses.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Marketing, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in shopper insights, market research, or a related field.
• Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Previous experience in working with consumer data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, etc.) is preferred.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
