About this position

BAT is evolving into a global multi-category business and is looking for experienced professionals to join their mission of decreasing the health impact of the industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% availability of utilities to support uninterrupted factory production.
• Manage utility and building control systems to optimize performance.
• Develop and execute maintenance plans for utility machinery, including third-party suppliers.
• Manage operational and maintenance supplier contracts, including monitoring, supervision, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations.
• Lead the implementation of manufacturing excellence (IWS) in utility operations.
• Oversee and manage utility projects from start to finish, including stakeholder alignment and team coordination.
• Drive ESG initiatives, focusing on green energy implementation and CO2 emission reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering from a reputable university.
• Preferably someone with 5 years and above of experience as a Utility Manager and managing a team.
• Strong technical knowledge of utility equipment, including processes, maintenance, and improvement.
• Experience leading and driving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) projects.
• Proficiency in report writing and technical/conversational English.
• Strong technical and analytical skills for machinery, processes, and team management.
• Experience in lean manufacturing/World Class Manufacturing (WCM)/Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Knowledge of Quality Management processes (e.g., SPC), and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and policies.
