Shift Electrician
About this position
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities Include:
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on production lines and auxiliary equipment.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery and electrical components following safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, maintenance activities, and inspections.
• Adhere to all electrical codes, regulations, and company safety protocols.
• Use testing devices to identify and rectify electrical malfunctions.
• Work closely with other maintenance team members and departments to minimize production downtime.
• Monitor and report on electrical supplies and tools to ensure timely restocking.
• When there is no maintenance to perform, provide support to the production team as required.
Requirements
Qualifications And Essential Attributes:
• Minimum 5 years of experience working as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in electrical work preferred.
• Understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Capacity to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Familiarity with standard electrical tools, meters, and testing devices.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and electrical safety regulations.
• Ability to identify and solve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team members.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends or overtime, as needed.
• Must be available to work in a 3-shift schedule.
• Morning shift Starts at 5 30 AM.
• Afternoon shift Starts at 2 00 PM.
• Night shift Starts at 10 00 PM.
