Shift Engineer
About this position
BASF Care Chemicals - Operations (EMA-O) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Shift Engineer in Thailand.
Responsibilities
• Be responsible for all EHS guideline, related Quality standards, GMP, Halal, Energy management, RSPO and RC requirements during the shift working. Ensure EHS rule / regulation and RC requirements are followed including shutting down equipment that cannot be operated safely and to dismiss people who don’t follow the rule.
• Implements existing production recipes and adjust as necessary to produce products within specifications.
• Be responsible for reporting any issues or quality defects to his supervisor/manager. If corrective action is necessary, the shift leader must seek the assistance of his supervisor.
• Maintain the workplace and working environment that support work safety and efficient production activities according to plant safety regulations as well as Company EHS guideline, RC Requirements, Quality system ISO 9001, EFfCI GMP, Halal, RSPO and Energy Management.
• Ensure day-to-day operations according to plan and supervise the shift leaders/operators for smooth production to ensure safety, quality, and reliability.
• Monitor process and quality parameters. Troubleshooting and corrective action wherever required.
• Coordinate logistic & production planner to ensure on time of incoming materials for production.
• Issue maintenance notification and safe work permits.
• Ensure that team members follow MIR/WI and assist team for troubleshooting.
• Cooperate with engineering for corrective maintenance including preventive maintenance and calibration program. Make sure they are performed as plan.
• To perform special tasks as assigned by direct supervisor.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s major in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the field of production processing/operations/manufacturing.
• Able to work in shift pattern.
