Manager - Direct Importer Technical Management

Responsibilities
• Active contribution to the Asia Pacific Strategic Technical Sales Roadmap for respective area of responsibility (Direct Importer Business).
• Implement and monitor the progress of Asia Pacific Strategic Technical Sales Roadmap, target setting to achieve strategic path objectives, for our importer countries.
• Implement a clear technical channel from APAC Technical Management to the market via our direct importers by building-up skill sets, know-how and accountabilities with clearly defined targets.
• Be part of the automotive refinish coatings direct importers sub-region organization and work closely with the sales and business development team, prioritize technical service solutions needs, training needs, product demands and Bodyshop binding initiatives for direct importer markets.
• Take full ownership and drive and manage the technical services and solutions implementation and execution in the markets together with our direct importers’ technical team.
• Support direct importers sales teams as refinish coatings Technical Expert in negotiations with OEM car manufacturers and car dealership group business opportunities, by driving customer technical acquisition strategies, competitor technical argumentation, process optimization and customer focus solutions to grow the business.
• Substantiate communication channels between Regional Technical Application, Regional Marketing, Regional Strategic Account Management and direct importer partners’ organization to create formal planning, forecasting, reporting and follow-up actions based on critical success factors.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or equivalent refinish coatings market experience.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a related automotive technical management, process analysis and improvement, project management or customer technical support experience showing increasing responsibilities.
• Strong leadership skills and experience.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive, logical thinking and detail minded.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Frequent Travel is required, around 2-3 weeks per month.
• Exceptional written and oral, presentation and communication abilities in English, other Asian language skills a plus.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office products.
