About this position

BASF Petrochemicals (CP) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Electrical & Instrument and Utility Engineer at the Rayong Plant in Thailand.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:
• Maintenance of Plant E&I system
• Coordinate of preventive / breakdown maintenance which related to E&I system and utilities system. Improve maintenance planning to ensure the function of E&I meet production requirements. Maintain, inspect, test, and adjust all E&I systems, automation, annual proof test of SIS on a regular basis to detect any potential problem.
• Project Engineering
• Support the project to ensure all projects related electrical works to meet electrical safety, quality, budget, and time frame.
• Readiness of site utilities
• Ensure the capacity and reliability of utility supply and plan of repairing schedules to provide realistic and useful manpower supports. Review work records to determine efficiency of utility system regarding productivity, quality of output and cost of service. Develop methods to continually improve service providers performance.
• Management of Change
• According to Management of Change issuing. Arrange installation works and instruction, install, relocate, remove/replace, relevant E&I equipment. Supervise maintenance employees and contractors to for the installation of new or for the modification of existing equipment.
• Engineering Documentations:
• Update system architectural, single line drawing and equipment information as Equipment Manual, Engineering documents, Cable route Layout, SIF documentation, SIS overview. It also includes preparing various work manuals for the E&I team to use as standards for such work and to keep it up-to-date.
• Work Order Arrangement & Repair services
• Carry out E&I repair service including system architectural drawings, Monitor the status of important E&I system and ensure that it is managed with the lowest risk, such as planning maintenance, simple repairs in a timely manner. or the availability of spare parts, etc. Report to supervisor usual or unsolvable problems to ensure the smooth operation of the E&I equipment. Organize & Prioritization of work order and feedback to originator on regular basis.
• Planning & Forecast of Maintenance
• According to supervisor’s instruction and production plans, develop maintenance plan and participate in drafting technical improvement plan to ensure the function of E&I equipment meet production requirements and legal requirements such as annual proof test of SIS system, fire alarm inspection, gas detector system, boiler system, instrument calibration, and bonding & grounding system.
• People management
• Technical advice, provide instruction and train the team members. Arrange staffing for shift E&I workforce. Take and consolidate attendance. Allocating personnel according to various responsibilities, taking care of overtime work appropriately, including supervising personnel to work according to standards. To ensure both the quality of personnel and the discipline of personnel in the team.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to electrical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with various stakeholders.
• Proficient in using engineering software and tools.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
