About this position

The Assistant Manager - Business Development will be responsible for meeting annual sales budgets, developing new relationships in target markets, overseeing retailer networks, and coordinating promotional activities for focus crops.

Responsibilities

• Meet the annual sales budget of the assigned region; Adapt and execute the annual budget inline to the inventory and production outcomes; Making short and long-term sales plans by strong collaboration with all work relations.
• Develop new relationships in identified target markets with potential dealers and introduce Nunhems products to agreed business objectives; Develop and execute customer (dealers) management, maintain good relationship and improve their loyalty.
• Build/expand and oversee the network of Retailers to increase our channel depth (penetration) and share of wallet with retailers.
• Ensure annual business plans are formulated and followed with all the strategic customers/dealers.
• Plan, propose, and execute the promotional activities for focus crops in line with sales plan.
• Conducting the trials/ demonstrations for the varieties of all focussed crops and creating markets/ segments for varieties by demonstrating their value to growers/ customers/ dealers.
• Initiate the introduction of new varieties and propose on price levels, and product forms in order to contribute for the commercial success of new varieties.
• Coordinate to suggest and execute the crop development plan.
• Suggesting/training the growers for advanced practices for best results of our products and handling the grower queries effectively which is arising at the dealer or grower level.
• Coordinate with customers/teams to understand the promotional activities in the assigned geography and partner for big grower events.
• Take care of the AR (account receivables) in line with the Finance & Accounting policy and the associated payment terms in order to ensure smooth order flow and credit management.
• Ensure that all the financial metrics are well monitored/ reviewed periodically.
• Provide all kind of market intelligence (new launches, product related information, growers needs etc.) to relevant stakeholders in order to contribute to the formulation of the marketing and sales plan in the respective crops and region.
• Liasioning with agriculture/horticulture department for product registration/ import regulations/seed license etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture.
• At least 4-5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Marketing or in similar role for vegetable seeds.
• Good command of English and Thai languages.
• Good commercial skills, customer focus, result driven and a team player.
