About this position
The position involves developing sales opportunities in the Transportation, Furniture, and CASE segments of the Polyurethane business in Indonesia, while executing sales activities to achieve mid/long-term targets aligned with the Strategic Business Unit strategy.
Responsibilities
• Develop sales opportunities in the Transportation, Furniture, CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers) segments of the Polyurethane (PU) business in Indonesia.
• Develop & execute sales activities to achieve mid/long-term targets in alignment with SBU (Strategic Business Unit) strategy.
• Contribute to profitable growth of Transportation, Furniture, CASE PU business in Indonesia.
• Develop sales strategy in alignment with A-PMA direction and ensure required support are obtained.
• Plan, organize and manage sales activities related to Transportation, Furniture, CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers) segments.
• Promote new products and applications to existing or potential customers.
• Organize events (Seminar/Tech Day/Workshop) for strategic customers to gain business opportunities.
• Define & implement pricing strategy to reach optimal profitability.
• Establish relationships with key stakeholders of strategic customers.
• Ensure customers’ credit management is aligned to company's guideline and risk management.
• Organize visits from RBU colleagues to drive business growth.
• Provide ad hoc and regular management reporting timely.
• Drive commercial projects through Sales Force.
• Support customers’ sustainability initiatives with our portfolio of solutions.
• Have in-depth understanding of customer needs, industry drivers, unique selling points to recommend the best solution(s), leading to the achievement of value creation for the customers and BASF.
• Identify and develop new market potential for any applications across product portfolio in coordination with RBU (Regional Business Unit).
• Conduct studies on market dynamics, industry trends, competitors, products, applications, and technology.
• Establish database for target market segment, customer, and application.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Engineering/Science/Chemical/Industrial.
• Min 5 years as Technical Sales or Technical Service preferably in the PU (Polyurethane) and chemical industries.
• Japanese/Chinese speaker will be an added advantage.
• In depth knowledge in PU (Polyurethane) products and application.
• Understanding of Transportation, Furniture, CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers) industry.
