About this position

Sales Manager for utility scale energy storage system in ASEAN region, responsible for developing the sales pipeline and managing battery projects from contact to execution.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for financial performance to achieve agreed targets regarding net sales, contribution margin, and fixed costs.
• Prepare quotation and propose products & services to clients.
• Drive project sales opportunities into closed deals. Take responsibility for the overall sales process and master the coordination of interfaces to other departments / functions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor agreed sales strategies (including pricing implementation) and provide clear strategic direction to the sales organization.
• Develop market intelligence to pursue market growth and deepen market penetration, e.g. attracting new customers, applications, and innovations.
• Support the establishment of long-term relationships with key-accounts and market influencers to understand customer’s true needs, emotional, and strategic interests.
• Contribute to the development of the business strategy by ensuring appropriate top-down and bottom-up information flow.
• Manage relations with EPCs, equipment suppliers and other associates through all sales stages until effectiveness of the contract.
• Prepare, report and present sales status for Management Reviews.
• Properly and thoroughly analyze client needs to develop tailored solutions and assist with quotations and feasibility, as required.
• Work with your peers in other regions to share best practices, learnings, solve problems, and devise new initiatives and improvements.
• Deliver feedback to product and supply teams to enable future platform sales.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent in engineering or any technical discipline. Electrical engineering background is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of technical and/or marketing & sales experience, especially in engineering and construction management in the power generation market, experience with utilities, project developers and EPCs in energy industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication and being able to clearly present suggestions and ideas to internal and external parties.
• Strong negotiation skill.
• Ability to communicate complicated technical topics across functions and regions.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills. Strong PC and general technology skills (particularly full MS Office).
