About this position

The position is responsible for developing marketing strategies consistent with the BC’s mission, vision, targets and long-term objectives, in collaboration with Country MD and Cocoa’s Regional Leadership Team (RLT).

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular monthly visits to customers, grow existing sales of cocoa products to customers, make price offers, negotiate, finalize sales contracts and monitor execution of sales contracts.
• Plans and Coordinates regular events/roadshows for Semi-Industrial Customers and/or Distributors for new product development, updates on market trends and sensory evaluation on various food-service applications that will lead to sales of Premium Cocoa products, Chocolate and Spec & Decorations.
• Identifying opportunities, planning events/roadshows for strategic Industrial Customers and collaborating with Marketing, R&D and FM Chocolate sales teams to promote Cocoa Products, Chocolate, Specs & Decorations and explore possibilities of Long-term Outsourcing deals with Industrial customers.
• Conduct monthly sales forecasts with Regional & Local Supply Chain / Planning teams, and monitor contract call-offs from Industrial Customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, Food Technology or similar.
• Experience in Project Management & team leadership.
• Fluent in Business English and local language.
• Familiar with operating computers to apply any update system to support commercial work.
• Excellent Negotiation skills and persuasive communication.
• Strong knowledge of operation process, product specification and customer requirements.
• Exposure of minimum 5+ years of experience in the food industry, flavor, or palm oil. Able to manage master distributors /key accounts to create new sales, by identifying potential needs in the market, highly self-motivated.
• Experience in the gourmet/food ingredient market, preferably gourmet chocolate and/or cocoa powder. Alternatively, experience in other softs/agricultural commodities trading or selling is also appreciated, most preferable in the Fine or Flavour/Specialty Cocoa Market.
• Business development, trading, sales, origination skills and experience.
• Have experience in managing client relationships, ideally across several different geographies.
• Outstanding presentation skills and showing can-do attitude.
