About this position

The Safety Officer is responsible for supervising and overseeing the operations of the occupational health and safety section. This role involves ensuring that safety protocols are followed, compliance with health and safety regulations is maintained, and the work environment is secure for all employees. The Safety Officer plays a key role in fostering a safety-conscious culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the implementation of occupational health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend improvements.
• Ensure workplace safety equipment is properly maintained and accessible to employees.
• Organize safety training programs and drills for employees to ensure understanding of emergency procedures and safety practices.
• Monitor workplace conditions to ensure adherence to safety standards and provide guidance on safety measures.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports on causes, preventive measures, and corrective actions.
• Stay updated with Thai health and safety legislation and ensure the organization is compliant with all local regulations.
• Liaise with other departments to promote safety awareness and support initiatives that improve workplace safety.
• Maintain safety records and assist in preparing reports for internal and external audits.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Thai health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Proven experience in occupational health and safety, ideally within a relevant industry.
• Familiarity with safety management software and safety reporting systems.
• Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Certification in safety management.
