About this position

The incumbent manages product development and the portfolio to support Product Manager to execute product and underwriting strategy to achieve budgeted plan on top and bottom line. This is accomplished through the review, monitoring, and analyse of the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product development process until product launch, including product features design, pricing, profit testing, filling documents to OIC, underwriting guideline and policy issuance guideline.
• Ensure product meets company’s target on profitability and marketability when benchmarking with other insurers.
• Communicate and coordinate with working teams to ensure that the new product will be launched on time.
• Monitor product performance in terms of growth, profitability, and sales volume achievement.
• Coordinate with branding team to create communication material about product features and suggest on features to be highlighted to increase sales.
• Validate business cases for a new partnership or new product.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, work on tools creation, process re-design, and assist line manager to adapt to new processes.
• Ad hoc projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master's degree holder with education background in related fields Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related experience.
• 4 years’ experience in Home insurance. Additional experience on PA can be a good-to-have.
• Underwriting, product development, actuarial or claims background is preferable.
• Data analytical and Critical thinking skill.
• Effective command of English.
• Excellent in MS office skills.
