Night Manager
About this position
As a Night Manager, you will show your leadership to assist the Front Office Manager in driving overnight front office operations, and ensure an exceptional guest journey.
Responsibilities
• To be a main point of guest contact during the night hours of operation.
• Monitor late night arrivals, ensuring all requests are carried out smoothly. Ensure all reservations are honored, or dealt with as quickly and smoothly as possible.
• Ensure all issues pertaining to guest satisfaction are met and that follow up is completed on a timely basis.
• Complete the night audit in line with the standards and procedures of the hotel.
• Distribute all required reports to the departments concerned.
• Oversee all the postings from the day shift and correct it where needed.
• Check all the guest balances and confirm that authorized limits cover estimated guest expenses.
• Oversee the method of payment in every guest account and correct it where applicable.
• Check the routing instruction for all guest account and modify where applicable.
• Ensure all the back-up documents for next day departure are ready for review.
• Reconcile outlet banking and summary sheets in each area.
• Submit housekeeping and cleaning requests as required.
Requirements
• Previous night management experience in Front Office within the hotel/resort.
• Night audit experience.
• Competent level of IT proficiency.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
