Trader (International Bullion Industry)

The Trader position in the International Bullion Industry involves executing trades, analyzing market conditions, managing risks, and utilizing technology to enhance trading performance.
Responsibilities
• Execute buy and sell orders for bullion (gold, silver, etc.) in international markets, ensuring optimal pricing and timing.
• Manage and execute spot, forward, and futures contracts related to bullion trading.
• Monitor and respond to market movements in real-time, making quick decisions to capitalize on trading opportunities.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of global bullion markets, including economic indicators, geopolitical events, and supply-demand dynamics.
• Develop and implement trading strategies based on market insights, aiming to maximize profitability while managing risk.
• Provide market reports and trading recommendations to senior management.
• Assess and manage risks associated with bullion trading, including price volatility, liquidity risk, and counterparty risk.
• Utilize hedging strategies and financial instruments to mitigate trading risks.
• Ensure all trades comply with the company’s risk management policies.
• Use trading platforms, market data terminals, and analytical tools to enhance trading efficiency and decision-making.
• Stay updated on new technologies and tools that can improve trading performance.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2-5 years of trading experience in the bullion or precious metals industry, with a strong track record of successful trades in international markets.
• Deep understanding of global bullion markets, including key trading hubs such as London, New York, Dubai, and Singapore.
• Familiarity with the economic and geopolitical factors that influence precious metals prices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly interpret market data and make informed trading decisions.
• Ability to develop and implement effective trading strategies under pressure.
• Experience with risk management techniques, including hedging and the use of derivatives.
• Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to bullion trading.
• Proficiency with trading platforms, market data systems, and financial analysis tools.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools in the trading environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or other industry-specific credentials are preferred.
