Production Planning Engineer
About this position
The Production Planning Engineer is responsible for leading and monitoring production processes, developing control systems, and ensuring optimal performance through data analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
•Lead and monitor line supervisors and production staff on process control methodologies and best practices.
•Develop and implement process control systems for new and existing products.
•Monitor and analyze process data to ensure optimal performance and identify areas for improvement.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and refine manufacturing processes.
•Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations and product defects.
•Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, control plans, and standard operating procedures.
•Support new product introductions by establishing process parameters and validating manufacturing processes.
•Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
•Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
•3+ years of experience in process control or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
•Strong knowledge of process control methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA).
•Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Experience with surface-finishing processes/equipment is a plus.
