About this position
The Category Manager (Food) is responsible for building strong supplier relationships, analyzing performance metrics, and optimizing product assortments to enhance category performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Build strong relationships with your suppliers and execute negotiations to ensure the best assortment and pricing offers.
• Analyze key metrics and identify assortment gaps to derive strategies on how to improve supplier and category performance.
• Liaise with Supply Chain and Planning departments to maximize revenue and financial targets within the respective product category.
• Utilize both internal and external data effectively to make smart and educated decisions to drive incremental sales.
• Act as the main point of contact for supplier partners and new partnership prospects.
• Most importantly, establish an overall product portfolio that goes beyond meeting customer expectations, resulting in uncalculated customer delight.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Management, Sales, Communication or relevant fields.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as Category Manager in FMCG (Food)
• Proficiency in Ms. Office preferably Ms. Excel & Power Point.
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
• Proactive/Initiative.
• Positive attitude towards meeting tight deadlines and going the extra mile.
• Collaborative and open to changes and challenges.
