Diagnostic Liaison, Oncology
About this position
Lead and ensure the delivery and establishment of robust, proven, and highest quality in-market diagnostic testing to support a customer-perceived best-ever Oncology launch for Olaparib. Expand to deliver the same for the next wave of personalized healthcare (PHC) launches within the oncology portfolio and other therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities
• Develops, evaluates, and delivers the national diagnostic strategy for the relevant therapeutic asset.
• Delivers in-market BRCA testing excellence for the designated geographies for Olaparib up to and through launch, including market readiness evaluation and go/no go.
• Removes or minimizes Dx barriers to therapy use by optimizing testing pathways.
• Engages with, leads, and partners with all members of the cross-functional team on all diagnostic-related activities to ensure launch readiness and optimal launch of therapy.
• Identifies and collaborates with National Diagnostic opinion leaders, while maintaining appropriate contact with clinical opinion leaders where necessary to identify, design, and execute activities to optimize the provision of diagnostics associated with the responsible brands.
• Develops and implements national customer-facing activities for pre & post-launch to support delivery of the optimal diagnostic environment for therapy.
• Delivery of diagnostic-related educational initiatives including meetings, exhibitions, congresses/symposia, digital activities.
• Selecting and qualifying diagnostic partners and testing labs.
• Removing barriers to testing through partnerships with diagnostic companies, lab networks, and key external experts.
• Delivering testing pathway robustness in all key national clinical centers including local protocol support, multidisciplinary team working.
• Driving delivery from diagnostic partner(s) and testing labs.
• Developing diagnostic expertise in other cross-functional teams i.e. medical, sales, payer evidence.
• Driving diagnostic quality assurance (QA) programs.
• Provision of key inputs to P&MA strategy build and implementation including pricing and reimbursement cases for therapy and associated diagnostic tests.
• Utilization of diagnostics-related evidence for medical education activity (medical evidence, real-world evidence, and epidemiology) and assessment of evidence gaps for either global or local plans to bridge.
• Generation of diagnostic-related insight to shape national brand strategy and tactics.
• As required, supports registration/regulatory approval of diagnostic tests within their country.
• Responsible for monitoring & proposing improvement plans for diagnostic-related brand performance.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in any medical/pharmacy field.
• Experiences in pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding of the national diagnostics environment, including the science, process, and necessary commercial touchpoints in developing and implementing a treatment-linked diagnostic.
• Understanding of how the diagnostic business and customer environment works to drive rapid uptake of tests; how diagnostic standards are built, established, and operated in different contexts.
