About this position
Responsibilities
• Lead MA TA(s) plan in alignment with local brand plan based on global/ regional brand objectives including KEE engagement plan along with disease practice and scientific data per each TA.
• Execute the MA led activities/projects per plan or any ad-hoc activities/projects to meet specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) objectives under Astellas and local compliances and approved budget.
• Develop a TA medical communication plan with approved and valid scientific resources for KEEs, healthcare professionals (HCPs), government authorities, funding bodies, patients or caregivers (if applicable).
• Conduct field KEE, payer, and/or other HCP’s visits to engage, have scientific exchange, and/or gain insights in order to deliver values of Astellas product(s) according clinical studies, real world evidence/data (RWE/RWD) or other academic trustworthy resources, to fulfil clinical gaps, unmet needs, and to improve quality of life for patients.
• Collaborate with internal brand leads (marketing, key account manager and/or access) to drive patient access to treatment across potential accessibilities to treatment(s) from self-pay, OCPA, and/or universal coverage scheme through shaping external related stakeholders with values of treatment and burden of diseases with availabilities of clinical studies or creation of local data generation.
• Manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders regarding what MA can and cannot do based on solid understanding of company, regulatory and legal boundaries by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Regulatory guidelines, local country Code of Practice and Company SOPs to ensure adherence in all areas as appropriate.
• Develop expertise and scientific evaluation of assigned TA(s) through self-study, company-provided training and scientific meeting attendance in order to enhance the contribution to the company.
Requirements
• Medical Degree or Advanced Scientific degree from university in Health Science or Degree in appropriate biological science with clear relationship to human medicinal products.
• Minimum or greater than 2 years of prior experience in Medical Affairs of MNC.
• Strong scientific analytical and problem solving skills, strategic capabilities, project management, planning and organizational skills with excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate and build strategic alignment within the Medical Affairs community and other functions in a matrix environment.
• Knowledge and strong understanding of and ability to comply with applicable industry laws and regulations.
