Cost Purchasing Engineer
About this position
The Cost Purchasing Engineer is responsible for proposing layouts based on purchasing policies, establishing parts strategies, creating cost reduction ideas, analyzing cost comparisons, and negotiating with suppliers.
Responsibilities
• Propose Maker layout base on the purchasing policy under consideration on target factors with QCD (Quality/Cost/Delivery) evaluation.
• Plan & establish and promote parts strategy mid-term / long-term creation.
• Create cost reduction idea for Asian and Oceania area by VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Evaluate), cost benchmark, best allocation, volume consolidation etc.
• Analyze cost comparison with different between new & base model for promote cost improvement.
• Propose and discuss plan of JP CKD, Local, In-house, Outsource utilization in new model Maker Layout decision.
• Calculate cost of part for propose and negotiate cost reduction to supplier and expand to overseas.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Major Engineer, Business Administration, Supply chain Management, Finance or Related field.
• Able to work abroad as assignment. (Approximate 2-year assignment in Asian & Oceania countries, such as India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Philippines, Bangladesh, Malaysia).
• Manage multitask, set priorities, and adapt to changing condition and work.
• 2-3 years working experience in Automotive industries purchasing functions.
• Good command of English; upper Intermediate level – TOEIC score at least 700.
