Honda has been a pioneer and leader in the Thai automotive sector since the establishment of Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd. in 1964, Our operations encompass R&D, production, and sales of motorcycles, automobiles, power products and parts and accessories. Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd. was established in Thailand in October 1964 as a distributor of motorcycles in 1996, The company took the role of Honda's ASEAN Regional Headquarters. Due to the Asia and Oceania region’s fast growth and diverse market and Honda focused on localizing its operations to be closer to customers the company appointed Asian Honda Motor its Asia and Oceania Regional Headquarters in 2004, with responsibility for coordinating Honda's activities in 12 countries and supporting Honda's operations in several additional countries within the region.
About this position
Responsibilities
• Propose Maker layout base on the purchasing policy under consideration on target factors with QCD (Quality/Cost/Delivery) evaluation.
• Plan & establish and promote parts strategy mid-term / long-term creation.
• Create cost reduction idea for Asian and Oceania area by VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Evaluate), cost benchmark, best allocation, volume consolidation etc.
• Analyze cost comparison with different between new & base model for promote cost improvement.
• Propose and discuss plan of JP CKD, Local, In-house, Outsource utilization in new model Maker Layout decision.
• Calculate cost of part for propose and negotiate cost reduction to supplier and expand to overseas.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Major Engineer, Business Administration, Supply chain Management, Finance or Related field.
• Able to work abroad as assignment. (Approximate 2-year assignment in Asian & Oceania countries, such as India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Philippines, Bangladesh, Malaysia).
• Manage multitask, set priorities, and adapt to changing condition and work.
• 2-3 years working experience in Automotive industries purchasing functions.
• Good command of English; upper Intermediate level – TOEIC score at least 700.
